A Brief ProfileA full-fledged School of Distance Learning and Continuing Education of Kakatiya University came into existence in 1988 while mainly dedicating itself towards removing all barriers that traditionally restrict access to University level studies while offering a number of correspondence-cum-contact courses, nun-formal education and certain other non-conventiona! courses. The basic task of the School is to provide equality of educational opportunity for all adult Indians in general and residents of North Telangana districts in particular regardless of their prior academic credential. Thus, the school focuses its attention mainly to advance and disseminate learning and knowledge by different means which are generally not observed in formal type of education. In the process the School has scheduled its programmes with an increasing aim of covering larger segments of population vocations and professions and maintenance of a high quality of teaching, training, counselling and guidance.
