    A Brief Profile:Uttaranchal Open University is the 13th open university of India. it was established in the year 2006 with the aim of providing distance education to the students who are unable to take up full time courses in the state and outside. The university focuses mainly on subjects like tourism and hotel management, natural resources development programmes, forestry and other subjects, which aim towards preservation and development of natural resources.
