Candidates who have completed the course work in the M.Phil. programme in English (ELT/Linguistics & Phonetics/English Literature) from CIEFL/EFL University with a GPA of 3.00.
Admission to the course will be made on the basis of a written test and an interview.

1.PGCTE/DTE (CIEFL/EFL Univ.) with at least a GPA of 3.00 (OR)
2.MA in English with at least a high second class (55%) (OR)
3.MA with at least 55% in a subject (taught through the medium of English) that falls under the broad area of Humanities and Social Sciences, and a strong interest in commitment to the research areas pursued at EFL University:
M.Phil.(L&P):
1. PGCTE/DTE (CIEFL/EFL Univ.) with at least a GPA of 3.00 (OR)
2. M.A. in English (specialization in Linguistics and Phonetics) with at least a GPA of 3.50 or 55% Marks
M.Phil.(ELE):
1. PGCTE or PGDTE (CIEFL/EFL Univ.) with at least a GPA of 3.0

1. Post Graduate Certificate in the Teaching of English (PGCTE) |
i.An M. A. in English (Preference will be given to teachers of English)
OR
ii.A Master’s degree with at least a second class in an allied subject (Linguistics, Education, Mass Communication or Psychology) plus 5 years’ experience of teaching English
OR
iii.An M.A. with at least a second class plus 5 years’ experience of teaching “Methods of Teaching English” at the M. Ed/B. Ed. level
There will be no entrance test. Those who have the above qualifications will be admitted.
Those who apply for this programme must necessarily submit the M.A. Pass / Provisional pass certificate otherwise their application will be rejected.
Those who apply under category (ii)and (iii) must produce the required experience certificate as mentioned above otherwise they will render themselves in eligible. |
