(a) Lateral Entery(2 Year)
Lateral entry to MCA 3rd semester is allowed to the candidate who have already successfully completed:
(i) PGDCA / PGDIT or its equivalent programme from a recognized University.
(ii) 'A' level examination of DOEACC, after Graduation.
(iii) BCA, BSc(IT), BSc(Computer Sc) or BSc having Computer Science/IT as a major subject.
Candidate desirous of taking admission in MCA 3rd semester (lateral entry) will have to pay course fees only for the semester to be completed. However such candidates have to pay an exemption fee of Rs. 2000/- only per semester exempted, alongwith the admission fees.
(b) Direct Entry (3 Year)
Any Graduate of a recognized University / Institute having mathematics as a subject at 10+2 level. Those who have not studied Mathematics at the 10+2 level will be required to successfully complete the mathematics syllabus as per BCA course structure of Sambalpur University concurrently with the 1st/2nd Semester of MCA Course and such candidates are required to pay an additional fee of Rs. 2000/-. |
